Need an experienced Surgical Physician Assistant with 2+ years r elated experience. Qualified can! didate will have a PA degree /certification and NJ license. This position requires working 4 days /week, 10 hour shifts and needs someone willing to accept some on call evening or weekend shifts (will be compensated extra for this).
Salary is DOE
Some of the duties and responsibilities include:
1. First assistant to the surgeon
2. Suturing sub Q
3. Tying bleeders
4. Retractor holder
5. Running the camera for Laparoscopic surgeries
6. Applying dressing to wound
7. Sometimes will assist the anesthesiologist
8. Draping the patient
Types of cases:
Lap Appendectomy, Lap and Open Hernia Repairs, Lap Gallbladder, Exploratory Laparotomy, Lap and Open small bowel resection, Lap and Open Colectomy, Colostomy, Mastectomy, Endovascular triple A, Carotid endarterectomy, below and above knee amputations, some plastics cases, C-sections, Hip fractures, ankle fractures, some hand surgery.
