Job Description:
Beth Israel Medical Center, in Manhattan, is seeking a Physician Assistant (Neurosurgery / Neurology).
Youll have the unique opportunity to follow patients from pre-surgery through post op care, offering the full continuum of care, while working side-by-side with very clinically-active neurosurgeons who see a high volume of patients. You will assist with procedures such as primary brain tumor surgery; spinal reconstruction and peripheral nerve surgery; intracranial neuroendoscopy, which reduces surgical complications, shortens hospital stays and minimizes cosmetic concerns patients may have; and minimally invasive, computer-assisted, image-guided neurosurgery procedures that require smaller incisions and minimal anesthesia.
Physician Assistant / PA - Neurosurgery / Neurology
Bachelors degree and current NY State Physician Assistant license required
3-5 years experience in neurosurgery or neurology a! nd Masters degree preferred, but experience in other surgical ! services lines will be considered
Current PA registration must be maintained by passing the National Certification exam recertifying every two years with 100 hours of CME and passing recertification exam every six years
ACLS, BLS and Infection Control certificate preferred
