Job Summary:
To be responsible for the daily preparation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies to include the inventory system related to t! he Department of Anesthesia; assist in the organization and implementation of systems and services; provide for the processing, cleaning, and sterilization of department equipment and supplies; and assist the Anesthesiologist in situations of emergency and patient support within the scope of the job. To function as a resource person in the Anesthesia Department on the 3-11 Shift.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
Special Skills:
Licensed by the State of New Jersey. CPR (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certification required. Ability to perform work accurately and pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to function competently in stressful situations and changing work environment related to changing patient needs, including working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes. Ability to work cooperatively with hea! lth-system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary te! am members. Ability to communicate and interact with patient, physicians and co-workers effectively. Ability to prioritize, perform job related responsibilities within pre-determined time frames, and respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to use analytical skills to solve problems effectively.
