A day in the life of an Operating Room Registered Nurse:
Delivery of nursing practices according to the evidence-based research, nursing policies, and AORN standards of care, to provide and ensure safe and excellent delivery of individualized patient centered care. Ongoing communication with patients, surgeons, anesthesiologists and surgical techs and other members of the health care team regarding patient’s status, rendered care, education and treatment plans. Responsible for optimal patient/guest satisfaction and care experience according to Meridian Health standards. Medication administration utilizi! ng the latest clinical documentation technology designed to en! sure the safest delivery of medications to our patients. Patient and family centered care aimed at optimizing health, wellness and disease management. Interdisciplinary collaboration in management of our patient’s plan of care and goals from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
Description:
Per Diem RN for a 5 room O.R. in a community hospital. Must be competent to scrub and circulate on all surgical procedures. Hours flexed to accomodate staffing needs
Requirements:
[Minimum education]
AAS in Nursing or graduate of a diploma program required.
[Desired education]
BSN preferred
[Minimum work experience]
2 + yrs scrubbing and circulating as an RN in a hospital OR setting
[Desired work experience]
3- 5 yrs. experience in OR
[Required licenses/certifications]
NJ RN license; BLS
