2 positions currently available for Surgical Physi! cians Assistants.
One position will be in Orthopedics and will involve both surgery and in office work.
The other position is in a hospital setting and will strictly be first assist on General Surgery cases.
For both positions Qualified candidates will have a PA degree /certification , 2 + years related experience and a NJ license.
Salary is DOE
Some of the surgical duties and responsibilities include:
1. First assistant to the surgeon
2. Suturing sub Q
3. Tying bleeders
4. Retractor holder
5. Running the camera for Laparoscopic surgeries
6. Applying dressing to wound
7. Sometimes will assist the anesthesiologist
8. Draping the patient
