Job Summary:


They are looking for an Assistant Controller to join their finance team and support our growing business in the US. This position will report to the Controller.



Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the accounting operations.
  • Manage payroll and tax filings.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, policies, and regulations.
  • Mentor accounting staff and oversee their performance.
  • Coordinate and facilitate audits and accounting reviews.
  • Analyze and reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist the Controller in developing and implementing accounting systems, processes, and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to provide financial insights and analysis.



Requirements



  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • At least five years of progressive accounting experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrative knowledge of US GAAP through prior experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and large scale accounting systems like SAP and Intacct.
  • Excellent communications and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with US businesses and be able to work US hours
  • Must have Fiber Optic internet with at least 25 Mbps bandwidth
  • Must have a backup desktop or laptop with the latest OS
  • Must be able to work during US Business Hours
