Meet the team:

Dexcom’s Commercial Forecasting & Analytics team is responsible for generating patient, volume, and revenue forecasts for the organization. Those forecasts are leveraged by operations, finance, and sales teams for their various planning purposes. The Forecast Analyst is a critical role for the organization as this person is the primary owner of the US forecast and will be responsible for providing insights that help the commercial leadership team drive the US business forward for the coming years.

Where you come in:

  • Summary:
    • Highly visible growth opportunity for a Forecast Analyst that can translate financial and market data into actionable insights for the World-Wide Sales Forecasting Team. Responsibilities include generating quarterly and long-range forecasts, calculating forecast variance analysis, reviewing revenue drivers, scenario modeling, and generating tableau dashboards for commercial leadership. The scope of responsibilities includes coverage of the United States.
  • You will lead the short-term and long-term forecasts of both inline and upcoming products
  • You will partner and collaborate with pricing, corporate finance, sales, and demand planning teams to integrate key market dynamics and cross-functional expertise into demand forecasts
  • You will model broad and varied scenarios to fuel rolling forecasts, updated automatically with relevant, current information so plans for tomorrow reflect in real-time
  • You will clearly and concisely present forecast assumptions and results to senior leadership
  • You will provide forecast to sales operations for IC goal setting and S&OP for manufacturing and planning
  • You will perform mid-quarter variance analysis to assess the accuracy of forecast and summarize key drivers for senior leadership

  • You are organized, detail oriented, and have experience working with multiple stakeholders to gather inputs and feedback
  • You are comfortable managing up, challenging assumptions, and communicating up through the VP level
  • You can translate next steps from meeting into tangible forecasting inputs
  • Required Qualifications
    • Advanced Excel skills and ability to build logical models
    • Direct experience / understanding of Revenue Forecasting
    • Basic understanding of database structure and manipulation
    • Experience with Visualization Software, such as Tableau or similar
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with SQL (or similar database language)

Exempt Salary Details:

The annual base salary range for this role is $100,700 to $167,900 . Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.

Experience and Education

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience.
